It's clear this short drama has deeper themes, but it manages to present them with an appealing sense of humor that genuinely brings a smile to your face. Apparently, there's even a connection between having sperm on your hands and experiencing hearing loss—and possibly blindness too. “Trevor” (played by Brett Barsky) is essentially just another adolescent boy trying to get noticed by his parents, and school isn’t much better until he connects with baseball star "Pinky" (Jonah Rooney). His fortunes improve, even as he begins enjoying more energetic songs from his Diana Ross records. However, when he mistakenly shares his admiration for his new friend with “Walter” (Allen Dorane), he finds himself rejected by everyone and subjected to a particularly mortifying lecture from their local priest. Oh my! Suddenly it’s back to "Endless Love," and some extreme measures are needed. What will happen next? The story unfolds through a rather funny “Dear diary” format, complemented by Barsky's entertaining portrayal of his character reacting to each challenge as if it were life or death—but without diminishing the importance for a young gay person discovering their sexuality in a society that is either uninformed or actively unkind. What ultimately succeeds is how its message is conveyed with such nuance; there’s something here for anyone who has been “Trevor,” knows someone who has, or is one of Trevor's parents.
