The most enjoyable aspects of this movie are clearly showcased in the promotional trailers. "Cooper," portrayed by Josh Hartnett, brings his daughter "Riley" (Ariel Donoghue) to witness a performance by "Lady Raven" (Saleka Shyamalan). However, their experience is interrupted when law enforcement suddenly raids the venue. Through information from a merchandise vendor, it's revealed that this was an intricate setup designed to capture the “Butcher,” a violent serial killer known to be present at the concert. As the situation escalates, the audience quickly discerns the murderer’s identity and then must endure ninety minutes of increasingly unbelievable pursuit, with Hayley Mills leading the charge in attempting to apprehend him. There are moments when the film manages to create some suspense as he observes his escape routes being progressively blocked; however, his daughter's presence further restricts his choices. Ultimately, the story dissolves into a rather silly conclusion that I found underwhelming, lacking credibility, and regrettably derivative. Hartnett doesn’t quite embody the persona of a menacing villain, and there is an excessive amount of concert footage which gives the impression Miss Shyamalan requested a film as a holiday gift for her father. The movie feels drawn out and ultimately lacks impact; unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations.
