It’s disappointing how much 'Trap' declines after a promising start. The initial scenes set at the music concert were genuinely engaging and held my attention. However, once the action moves beyond the arena, the film really falls apart. The latter part of the movie was an unpleasant experience; it seemed to drag on endlessly. The narrative is riddled with inconsistencies, illogical plot developments, and questionable choices made by the characters. Cooper, portrayed reasonably well by Josh Hartnett, appears to be a significant figure in his profession, yet he makes some rather foolish errors. He seems to have the ability to teleport, judging from one scene involving a limousine. I’m not overly concerned with every detail of a film needing to be perfectly logical; I can appreciate something that's simply enjoyable, even if it has flaws. This movie, regrettably, just isn’t good. It’s unfortunate because I did find some merit in the scenes at the venue. I’m taken aback by the generally positive response this has received on several platforms—it wasn't something I anticipated, but then again, my judgment might be off.
