The movie follows a familiar romantic comedy storyline, but Amy Schumer and Bill Hader’s performances give it something extra. Schumer brings humor and authenticity to her role, despite the predictability of the plot. It isn't Apatow's finest work, occasionally feeling overdone and running longer than necessary. I also find unrealistic that these characters always abandon their drinking and partying habits for a relationship; surely there’s some compromise possible? Despite this, I genuinely laughed several times, which is really all you can hope for in a rom-com.
