This is among Laurel and Hardy's strongest efforts, and something that brings back memories of when I was younger, watching reruns of their best work on Global Television in Canada alongside my parents each night. It’s a particularly good example of how they function as a team because it mainly features just the two of them, with only a short cameo by Billy Gilbert—always a welcome sight—playing the junkyard owner who manages to deceive them by selling them a boat that was obviously unsuitable for water from the start.
