This new *Top Gun* film represents a welcome revival of classic, feel-good action movies and has quickly become a highlight of my year so far. The aerial sequences are truly breathtaking, exceeding even ambitious hopes, thanks to some genuinely incredible practical stunts and the seamless integration of every aspect of filmmaking. The script manages to be unexpectedly moving, allowing Tom Cruise to give what is arguably among his finest performances. Impeccable editing plays a crucial role in establishing that sense of reality and building suspense for an exceptionally strong conclusion within its category. Ultimately, the soundtrack—full of powerful music—makes seeing it on the big screen the only way to fully appreciate this impressive production. It surpasses the initial film across all fronts.
