This is a fairly good darkly humorous horror film, highlighted by a notably over-the-top performance from Robert Patrick, who seems to be delivering one of his strongest portrayals in some time. Amanda Crew also manages to acquit herself reasonably well at points. Certain moments stood out as particularly enjoyable; for example, the sequence where Crew’s character experiences a drug-induced hallucination and interacts with her father was a strong scene involving both Crew and Ray Wise. Despite this, the movie doesn't achieve anything exceptional overall, and it occasionally veers into lecturing territory—both Patrick and Crew deliver these sections, although they are intended as part of the dark comedy. Nevertheless, I’d suggest checking it out if you’re looking for something to rent. **3.0/5**
