‘Tone-Deaf’ feels like a brief film stretched into something longer than it should be. It's lacking in imagination, carelessly made, not very well written, visually unremarkable, and the performances are bad. Any chance of redemption—humor, unusual narrative ideas, or even having some actors who could have elevated the material—is disregarded so that an old-fashioned moral about different generations can take center stage. The result is a pointless, tedious, and overly long horror movie. You'll likely be yelling simply because you’re incredibly bored.
