It’s hard to understand why this isn’t more enjoyable. *Tightrope* possesses all the elements needed to keep audiences captivated, yet it failed to engage me significantly. Clint Eastwood delivers a dependable performance and his character's relationship with his kids is pleasant. Still, the narrative itself left me unmoved. It doesn’t manage to create much suspense, even though the premise seems dark, and the plot unfolds in an expected manner; I can hardly recall anything about the antagonist, having just finished watching it recently. It wasn't awful, but neither was it particularly impressive.
