It had potential, and there are definitely enjoyable parts—the special effects and action sequences are well done. My main issue is that the story unfolds in a familiar way, with all of the characters exhibiting dysfunction, which I found off-putting. Aside from Red Guardian, who’s eccentric, it's hard to find anyone genuinely appealing. I don’t appreciate seeing troubled individuals explore their problems through outbursts and flashbacks within a superhero context. Superheroes ought to embody those qualities—superhuman abilities and heroic actions—rather than mirroring the kinds of characters often found in Pedowood productions. Furthermore, it seemed intentional how closely they modeled the corrupt CIA director's appearance after Tulsi Gabbard; that’s standard Marvel messaging, not very subtle at all. And the ending? It was truly awful! If it hadn't been for that poorly written conclusion from someone clearly lacking talent, I might have given this a middling rating, but now I consider it to be a bad film.
