*Thunderbolts* marks a decent, if unremarkable, addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While I had hoped for more laughs, it’s still an enjoyable film overall. The cast is largely responsible for that positive impression; everyone involved does a perfectly acceptable job. Florence Pugh really shines, though. Lewis Pullman is dependable in his part, and Sebastian Stan isn't bad either. I would have liked to see more of David Harbour—he's easily the funniest member of the group appearing in this 2025 movie. Julia Louis-Dreyfus felt like a disappointment, however. The character doesn’t seem compelling enough to warrant such prominence and importance to the storyline as de Fontaine has. I suspect my memory of Dreyfus’ role will fade quickly.
