I’ll admit right away that I like Melissa McCarthy's comedy style, and that’s likely why I appreciate her work. Some people might disagree with me, but I’m allowed to have my own view. Despite that, I wasn’t let down by the concept behind Thunder Force. The jokes may have been aimed at a more mature crowd, yet Octavia and Melissa together worked well. However, I thought those moments pushing a progressive agenda involving the two fathers and the young girl, along with the grandmother's comment about them being a good match, were jarring and didn’t belong in this story. That seems to be how Hollywood operates these days—inserting opportunities to influence viewers. If you can overlook those parts, Thunder Force proved to be amusing and enjoyable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
