It’s true that the film occasionally feels disjointed, but I still found 'Throw Momma from the Train' enjoyable. Danny DeVito takes on directorial duties for this one, and that was my reason for selecting it; I’m trying to see more of his work, and he truly is the highlight of the movie. Billy Crystal also delivers a solid performance, and their chemistry together is quite pleasant. I have to admit, Anne Ramsey's character grated on me considerably. It surprised me to discover she received an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal—1987 must not have been particularly competitive in the Best Supporting Actress category. That said, I’m genuinely pleased for her; I understand Momma is meant to be irritating, but she goes too far for my taste. Aside from that one issue, it's a fun watch, even if I felt like it occasionally wandered while developing each section of the narrative. It’s definitely worth checking out.
