Billy Zane’s appearance raises an immediate question. He portrays Jack, Jennifer's unpleasant husband, who joins some acquaintances for a fishing excursion. A fire erupts on the boat, and only Jennifer (Kelly Brook) and the two companions, along with a physically appealing crew member named Manuel (Juan Pablo di Pace), remain to establish a camp on a picturesque desert island. Eventually, Jennifer develops feelings for the younger man, who is considerably more skilled at constructing things and securing sustenance; soon after, the group separates. When Jack recovers a lifeboat and intends to depart without them, tensions begin to rise—and so does the action. The movie is quite flawed, resembling a low-budget version of "Blue Lagoon," but with spears included. The performances are dreadful, the script even worse, and if it weren't for the appealing surroundings of their island paradise, there would be absolutely nothing redeeming about this production. It’s advertised as a psychological thriller, yet that aspect completely missed the mark; it’s simply not very good.
