Juliette Binoche delivers a strong performance as “Julie.” The film centers on a woman traveling down a rural road with her husband and daughter when their car collides with a tree—an event foreshadowed by a visible leak in the brake fluid earlier on. While viewers anticipate an accident, the aftermath proves more complex than expected, forcing Julie to confront both physical wounds and the challenges inherent in rebuilding her life. This journey leads her to seek refuge within Paris’s impersonal environment, but her desire for solitude is challenged when friends refuse to allow her to simply vanish. The situation intensifies with a reunion with an old lover, "Olivier" (Benoît Régent), potentially offering some hope.
