"They Reach" evokes a feeling similar to "Stranger Things" combined with "The Goonies," and it's also enjoyable because of its 1970s setting. The younger actors are particularly good, and they really make the film stand out. The horror elements aren’t remarkable, but that doesn’t detract from the experience. Despite some blood and gore, it functions as a darkly humorous horror movie; it's not meant to be deeply serious. Ultimately, this is a successful film. It’s easy to enjoy, watchable, and amusingly absurd in a frightening, demonic fashion. I give it a 7/10.
