I initially viewed this film way back in 1986... I don't recall much about it at the time... but I decided to rewatch it after spotting the vehicle on an episode of Leno’s Garage. It turns out, it's a genuinely enjoyable movie… not bad at all. The characters who are supposed to be tough aren’t exactly bright, but they work well enough within the context of the film... the plot is fairly straightforward... and occasionally what you need is something entertaining that doesn’t require intense concentration. It was also nice to revisit a piece of my past from 35 years ago. Charlie Sheen was only 21, though he appeared much younger! Considering when it was made, the movie had a pleasing aesthetic. And the Wraith car still looks good after all this time.
