I thought the idea behind a film centered on women, set in the 1930s, sounded interesting at first. However, the way it turned out left me feeling let down. It's strange how the story revolves around men even though they aren't physically present, and the title ‘The Women’ doesn’t quite match the reality of characters who mostly exist in connection to men, lacking depth beyond those relationships. I really hoped to enjoy this film, but it didn’t live up to my expectations.
