This horror western initially brought to mind the style of Evil Dead, but it turns out to be something much more substantial, allowing for character development and interaction that I appreciated. The film creates an atmosphere of dread while also presenting moments of intense terror, and some of the humans are just as unpleasant as the creatures they face. The direction is competent, the dialogue is well-delivered, and the script reinforces this sense of suspense. The actors were exceptionally chosen for their roles, and the special effects have aged gracefully. It's a pleasant film overall, and I would suggest checking it out.
