Anthology movies are always a bit tricky and this one is no exception. It is not quite as well structured as the Twilight Zone movie from 1983 but the connecting narrative is good and you can get into the idea of campfire tales gone wrong like this. Of course it is so much fun to see Sean Astin reference the Goonies in a movie like this and his casting is superb. The ending is also quite interesting although I'm not quite sure if it lands perfectly. It is a bit reminiscent of the Twilight Zone movie, but lacks Dan Akroyd's contribution.
