I first watched this film in theaters back in 1956, and it remains my top choice for werewolf movies. I make an effort to view it several times each year. The story unfolds among the mountains of Big Bear, California. It moves along quickly, avoids excessive violence, and the special effects artist responsible for the werewolf makeup deserves recognition. There are a few genuinely frightening instances, notably within the cave and during the jailhouse sequence! If possible, I recommend seeing it – you might find yourself enjoying it very much!!
