It’s disheartening to say this didn't live up to expectations, given its initial concept. *The Watchers* doesn’t quite find its footing—at least, that was my experience. I honestly found myself increasingly restless as the movie progressed, just hoping it would wrap up; I anticipated the credits after what appeared to be the resolution of 'the event,' but there was still more story to come. The performances didn't help matters either; no one managed to elevate the material. Olwen Fouéré is passable, and her character begins in a fairly intriguing way, but even by the end I wasn’t invested in her journey. The only thing I appreciated about this 2024 film was the music, which really stood out. Otherwise, Ishana Night Shyamalan's first time directing left me feeling quite let down.
