I have to admit, I began watching this movie simply because Teresa Palmer appeared in it. The film begins with scenes of sadness and hardship within a family, and initially, I wasn't entirely sure what the trains were for. A new woman is introduced, and she’s quite charming, if I may add. There seems to be an undercurrent of darkness affecting this family, suggesting it might become something like a folktale. The evil present goes beyond just being unpleasant; the actions are truly awful. There's a sense that things are shifting, a feeling of disorientation as you question whether they’re still in control or if everything is spiraling out of reach. It’s a wonderfully wicked story, told with skill and precision, maintaining a consistent pace throughout its unfolding.
