It manages a few chuckles early on and a couple of moments where you feel something tense happening later, but that's largely all there is. It’s remarkable to see both Elijah Wood and Nic Cage in such a low-key project. I would have anticipated this kind of film if only one of them were involved, particularly if it was Cage, but the combination felt unexpected. He does get his characteristic outburst, although not extensively; it just sort of occurs. _Final rating:★★ - There were aspects that resonated with me, despite the disappointing overall result._
