The Tomorrow War proved to be an enjoyable science fiction action film with memorable characters, frightening aliens, and impressive action sequences—its few shortcomings are easily overlooked. It’s a movie about battling alien creatures and involving time travel, and it manages to entertain even with its imperfections. The story's concept creates some uncertainty when dealing with altering timelines, which results in moments that feel illogical and occasionally muddies the plot. However, if you aren’t concerned with strict scientific accuracy, there’s a lot here to appreciate. The aliens are genuinely unsettling and imposing. Sending soldiers forward in time to assist in a desperate war for survival offers an interesting twist on familiar alien invasion narratives. I found the scenes set in the future more engaging than those in the present, as they conveyed a greater sense of peril. Given that it premiered directly on a streaming service, my expectations were modest, and this film surpassed them considerably. It's one I’ll gladly watch again.
