The film isn’t just riddled with plot problems or things that don’t quite add up; it has gaps in every scene, moments you can barely register—it's basically constructed entirely of holes! Even my teenage relative, who enjoys movies about robot dinosaurs, became annoyed while watching it. It might possibly be acceptable if it weren't obvious – signaled by numerous pretentious on-screen references to private business ventures and the entertainment world, clumsy efforts at commenting on political matters, and just generally latching onto trending social topics like the pandemic, conflicts, veterans, science education, young people who feel left out, sexism, women’s rights—that someone believed they were creating a witty action movie. Predictably, these insertions and attempts end up clashing with each other and undermining any sense of coherence. There was a period when this wouldn't have been good enough for even the lowest-budget community television, but that was before tech billionaires took over. It seems being driven and intelligent came from not getting attention.
