It’s clear that “The Tiger’s Apprentice” could have been a truly captivating animated movie. The familiar story beats are present, but with improved development and perhaps some extra time, there was an opportunity to create more depth for the characters and explore their underlying messages. Unfortunately, the incredibly rapid storytelling prevents this from happening. As a result, while it isn't without its good qualities, the film ultimately blends in with many other easily overlooked movies. Rating: C
