The idea behind this movie was promising, yet the execution didn't quite make it enjoyable. While I understand that the narrative and environment weren’t meant to be lighthearted, the pacing felt excessively slow, with drawn-out and quiet moments that compounded the issue. It took considerable effort to get through the majority of the film until the final portion began. I had hoped for a more satisfying resolution. The plot centers on a man who is blind, happily married, and has a child. Then, unexpectedly, he regains his sight, which triggers significant changes in his life and forces him to confront difficult choices. With this renewed opportunity, he attempts to mold his existence according to his desires. However, new problems arise, bringing with them harsh repercussions. The specifics of his decisions and the ultimate outcome form the remainder of the story. Dan Stevens delivered a commendable performance; it felt almost like a solo effort on his part. Nevertheless, as I mentioned earlier, the script suffered from a lack of momentum and an easily predictable plotline, which will limit its appeal to a wider audience. The supporting cast was capable, and the direction was also solid. It wasn’t unpleasant, but I simply didn't find it entertaining, experiencing moments of boredom throughout. It’s a film that might be worth watching once for those with specific tastes, though staying awake during it could prove challenging. _4/10_
