It’s hard to say which is more excessive—the frequent, unnecessary displays of cleavage or the repeated use of that familiar line. I did find 'The Three Musketeers' enjoyable, although there’s certainly a lot of skin shown. The well-known phrase associated with the Musketeers is repeated quite often. This movie left me feeling somewhat conflicted. It’s undeniably fun to watch, but I wasn’t entirely convinced it warranted the rating I ultimately gave it; I think it just barely earns it. I appreciated the story, the settings, and how things moved along, though it took a while for me to connect with the performers. Chris O'Donnell as D'Artagnan and Oliver Platt playing Porthos were my favorites—I liked them both from the start. It’s my first time seeing O’Donnell outside of his 'Batman' roles, even though I’ve seen Platt in other things. Charlie Sheen (Aramis) and Kiefer Sutherland (Athos), on the other hand, didn’t quite work for me. Their acting styles weren’t to my taste, and I didn’t feel a strong connection between them—or with Platt, either. With Tim Curry, it's always a bit of a gamble; it doesn’t help that my strongest association with him is 'Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties,' so I keep hearing Prince XII whenever he speaks—I apologize, Mr. Curry. And then there's Paul McGann, who I recently discovered through the TV series 'Luther.' It’s a funny world we live in. Sorry for those little side discussions. Overall, this film is entertaining and worth seeing.
