This romance, crime story, and drama benefits from excellent portrayals by Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo; they have a remarkable connection as their characters engage in a game of wits. The criminal aspects are also handled effectively, though I still can’t quite figure out how Crowne managed to fit the painting into that tiny briefcase. Regardless, I've watched it repeatedly over time, and it remains consistently enjoyable. **4.25/5**
