The unfolding of the narrative kept me captivated and amused, although at times I found myself disoriented. A sense of reality ebbs and flows, constantly shifting. The acting serves to draw the viewer into a state of bewildered acceptance. It had been quite some time since I’d laughed so consistently during a film. The supporting players are remarkable. Nick projects an assuredness that's palpable; he seems completely in control, even if his feelings might have been different moments earlier. There's excellent drinking on display. It's a remarkably organized kind of chaos. I haven’t experienced anything like the men’s… situation, and I certainly wouldn’t attempt to ride their wave. The characters are wonderfully eccentric. The imagery is superb. With abrupt shifts to buzzing insects and ethereal water sequences, the cinematography isn’t hesitant. I would definitely want to see this in a theater. Perhaps I'd even exit when the police officer returns. Just let yourself go wild, you understand. I felt intensely satisfied fairly early on, but the aftermath was lovely and worthwhile.
