This is a rather elegant film. Antonin Viswanadhan portrays "Malik," who goes back home to Tunisia following his father’s passing and finds himself drawn to "Bilal" (Salim Kechiouche), the handyman for his mother. His attraction isn't so much revealed as it becomes apparent, thanks to his mother—still remarkably beautiful Claudia Cardinale—and the narrative explores both present and past challenges of a personal and cultural nature while they navigate their feelings. It’s a thoughtfully composed and measured story originating from an area rarely seen in this type of movie. It's definitely something you should see.
