My initial reaction to _The Strangers_ was intense; it stands out as one of the few films that truly scared me as an adult, or at least as a seventeen-year-old. It’s worth noting that I experienced both of those movies under similar circumstances – by myself, late at night, in a place called "Suicide Flats." Looking back and rewatching _The Strangers_ a few times, I think my initial fear and the pleasure I got from it might have been stronger than they actually were. Even so, after revisiting it nearly ten years later, I still feel that _The Strangers_ is a worthwhile film with some legitimately unsettling aspects. _Final rating:★★★½ - I really liked it. Would strongly recommend you give it your time._
