Having suffered a coma, He Man finds himself without his memories and learns that his marriage to Xie Yu is over, even though they once shared deep affection; this sets him on a path to regain what he’s forgotten and attempt to repair their bond. The movie thoughtfully examines ideas of remembrance, sorrow, and coming together again, featuring a palpable connection and considerable emotional resonance between the actors portraying the central characters. Certain aspects of the storyline and how events unfold do create some issues with suspending disbelief, but the touching narrative about rekindling love still makes for an engaging experience.
