It’s an enjoyable film that I’d happily view again and suggest to others. There are several pleasant unexpected elements throughout the movie. While I don’t typically care for Malin Akerman’s performances, I won’t claim she isn't effective during the action scenes—particularly given she performs them in heels. However, Joe Manganiello and Ken Marino (who is listed as "Glen" on IMDB, despite a recurring joke about his name being "Ron") tend to dominate whenever they appear, and she gets lost even though she’s presented as the central adult character. The child actors generally deliver excellent performances; I believe it will be interesting to follow their careers. My main reservation is that the film blends a heist plot with a rescue narrative involving children, which brings to mind “Dora and the Lost City of Gold.” There are even four kids involved, two of whom are related. It’s probably just a coincidence that they share similarities, but it highlights how well "Dora" handled transitions versus how this one struggles to integrate those elements smoothly. I don't foresee younger viewers being let down by this film, and adults will likely find it entertaining as well.
