The final moments… it’s hard to think of a more fitting description than "speechless." 'The Sixth Sense' is consistently good throughout its runtime, but the ending elevates it to something truly special. My immediate reaction as the credits began was simply “wow.” It’s a brilliant way to finish things off; the best surprises are those that provide all the necessary hints without telegraphing what has transpired—and this film delivers precisely that. Before that point, I was just appreciating it. It's very good, certainly, but I felt like I was waiting for something more to happen. The deliberate pacing actually works in favor of understanding the eventual payoff, if I’m being honest. Ultimately, the story is exceptionally well-crafted. Haley Joel Osment gives a superb performance; it's really quite remarkable. Bruce Willis is also excellent—it’s surprising that I had seen 26 of his movies and somehow overlooked this one. Toni Collette is fantastic too, almost unrecognizable in her role, and I found the relationship between Lynn and Cole's mother and son to be very compelling despite everything they are dealing with. I finally got around to watching it! I’d known about this movie for what feels like forever. Fortunately, I managed to avoid any spoilers along the way. It’s an outstanding film.
