THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE, HOLLYWOOD! I'm tempted to suggest that Morgan Freeman’s narration is the primary reason for the film’s popularity; honestly, he could read a list of ingredients and people would enjoy it. However, there’s more to it than just that. The movie resonates because it provides closure—the heroes triumph, the villains are defeated, and it presents a well-told, engaging story. It's precisely what audiences generally seek in a film... and despite my usual reservations about King’s work, the short story delivers exactly that kind of satisfaction. It’s exceptionally well executed. You will appreciate this movie, simply because its quality warrants it.
