It's fair to say I’m quite fond of this film; I've seen it a total of 32 times—and I still might watch it again. People often ask why I keep returning to it, and the answer is simple: each viewing reveals something different. For instance, even though Red is his close friend, Andy doesn't tell him about his escape plan, which really showed me how important self-control and concentration are when you want to achieve something. I honestly can’t find enough words to express my appreciation for the story, the way it was filmed, the performances, and every other aspect of it. It definitely holds the highest position on my list of favorite films.
