I thought it was pretty good. This film, *The Santa Clause 2*, comes remarkably close to matching the original. I personally found the storyline more consistently entertaining this time around; the first movie has a stronger beginning than ending—though I still consider the 1994 version superior—but this sequel is quite well done, in my view. Tim Allen returns as Scott and remains the standout performer. Elizabeth Mitchell does an acceptable job as Carol, while Spencer Breslin – who also performs well in *The Cat in the Hat*, a film that I do enjoy—is a good fit for his part. My point is that the supporting actors are slightly better here. Regarding the story itself, it’s not something to overthink, naturally, but I was suitably amused by it. I'm curious to see what happens in the third installment.
