I'm pretty sure an installment of "Tales from the Crypt" handled a similar premise more effectively—or maybe it was "Creep Show." Regardless, that particular segment surpassed this movie in quality. Still, I have to acknowledge that some of the performers delivered strong performances despite the weak writing, and the director managed adequately given the limited resources available. The central issue is that they took what would be a suitable story for a single episode or a short film piece and expanded it into a full-length movie. Consequently, the final product felt padded and lacked substance.
