Billy Campbell’s performance proved surprisingly convincing, and I doubt another actor could have captured the essence of that villainous, Errol Flynn-esque figure as well as Timothy Dalton, who is known for his portrayal of James Bond. It's just unfortunate that Campbell often seems overlooked when it comes to recognizing acting talent. Truthfully, this is a truly dreadful superhero film—in the best possible way—retaining an incredible vintage quality reminiscent of 1930s serials. The whole production was excellent and deserved considerably more attention than it got.
