The Rescue Aid Society doesn’t seem particularly international; they had to send "Miss Bianca" and "Bernard" from New York to Australia to locate the lost nine-year-old "Cody." The story explains that he freed a golden eagle stuck on a cliff, gaining her gratitude but also making an enemy of the hunter, "McLeach." He and his clumsy accomplice, "Joanna," already have numerous animals in their hidden underground facility, so now it’s up to the mice and Cody to liberate these creatures and protect "Marahute" and her eggs from this unpleasant poacher and his hungry companion. I found this film quite pleasant. It occasionally relies a bit heavily on Australian clichés, but there's plenty of entertainment in the adventure with some likable characters—I especially liked "Joanna" and the rather grumpy koala—as we move along at a brisk pace through this enjoyable continuation of the 1977 story (it’s surprising mice live so long!). It isn't something you'll recall vividly, but it provides eighty minutes of agreeable viewing.
