The film doesn’t fare well as a documentary; it lacks any real expertise in its construction. However, it functions adequately as an introduction to gender theory that goes beyond feminist perspectives, managing to cover the main ideas even though it struggles with specifics and ultimately blurs its central argument. Were there other documentaries addressing this subject matter, I would have given it a less favorable assessment; nevertheless, it earns extra credit for being unique and brave.
