This supernatural horror film, reminiscent of *The Omen*, manages to be watchable, though most of it didn’t stick with me beyond the ending. Hilary Swank seemed disengaged in her performance; I detected little feeling despite the tragic circumstances surrounding her character. Similarly, Idris Elba, who is undeniably talented, didn't leave a strong impression and felt underutilized. It wasn’t particularly frightening, which isn’t surprising since this subgenre of horror usually doesn't elicit much fear from me. **2.75/5**
