Even though it came out relatively early on, _The Raid_ stands out as one of the most groundbreaking action films in recent years—and we’re nearing the end of that period. Iko Uwais demonstrates a clear aptitude for this kind of physical performance, and apart from some unsteady camera work at the beginning, you can really see him (along with the other actors) carrying out their stunts, something that many Hollywood action movies seem to have forgotten how to do. _Final rating:★★★★ - Very strong appeal. A personal favourite._
