This movie is just chaotic. It seems intent on fleshing out aspects of the world we didn’t see before – however, ultimately _The Purge: Anarchy_ devolves into a series of violent scenes (much like the Purge itself), and it doesn't have any real emotional resonance or a sensible plot to speak of.
