The Princess doesn't necessarily offer anything groundbreaking or original, but it's a thoroughly enjoyable and skillfully made film. Though it doesn’t reinvent the action formula popularized by films like *Die Hard*, the movie benefits from well-executed fight scenes and Joey King’s impressive performance—she carries out most of her own stunts. This helps to lift the straightforward story into a worthwhile action experience. The swordplay and martial arts include some creative touches, with unique approaches and final moves that felt new to me. The quality of the stunt work almost matched what you'd find in *John Wick*, which was surprising for a film released directly on streaming and definitely welcome. Despite being quite predictable, and reminiscent of other movies I’ve seen, *The Princess* remains entertaining and surpasses what some reviews suggest. Anyone who appreciates action films similar to *Die Hard*, *Con Air*, or *Passenger 57* should find something to like in this movie's medieval setting, sword fighting, and fantasy elements.
