It’s a perfectly acceptable movie. *The Princess and the Frog* is enjoyable, though it doesn’t break much new ground compared to other animated princess movies from the studio; it delivers what you'd expect from that kind of film. Anika Noni Rose is effective as Tiana, and John Goodman’s performance as Big Daddy is agreeable, even if his role isn’t extensive. Keith David (as Shadow Man) and Oprah Winfrey (as Eudora) are nice additions to the voice cast. The musical numbers aren't particularly memorable, but the animation style—which feels traditional—is appealing. There are a few points where the story seems to slow down, though the overall pacing is decent. Ultimately, whether you like it depends on your fondness for princess stories, as they can be quite predictable and follow a set pattern. I don’t have strong feelings about them, really. It's an average Disney film, in my opinion.
