I’m not sure I agree with what other people have said about this film. I really liked it and rated it an 8. After a while, the plot seemed perfectly logical to me. The new characters were great, and I thought the relationships between the military personnel felt very genuine and believable. Having served in the U.S. Army myself, I found their interactions quite realistic. My only reservation is about how the “good guys” are portrayed alongside the government; that’s just something you’ve come to anticipate these days. It didn't seem authentic to me, but it wasn’t a major distraction, and ultimately everyone joined forces to save humanity! If they hadn’t succeeded, well, we wouldn’t be here, would we? It was a good movie overall! I suggest checking it out for yourself; I thought it was worth seeing so much that I even purchased the Blu-ray.
