The movie simply isn't successful. The initial Predator established an atmosphere where the viewer felt like they were being pursued, and Predators is the only other film in the series to replicate that feeling. This installment fails to live up to prior entries—every single one of them—but it does leave you with a clear sense that this was purely motivated by money, attempting to extract every last bit of value from a franchise that had already reached the end of its lifespan.
